This command shall present to you BallisTiC's newest and XaVIR's best game yet, which ranks right up there with my teammate's masterpiece Zilog:

Zepthor: Lost In A Lost Land
Version 0.99

This is the final testing version of my TI-82 game requiring less than 10000 bytes. This is a more recent version of this once bug-filled game, and I'm confident that there aren't that many tweaks in it now.

I wrote this on the TI-85 and translated it on the TI-82. I promise that I shall have this up for the TI-85 soon.

The Plot:

You're Zepthor, a mighty soldier who, by some tweak of nature, is lost in a vast new land close to 500 miles long. You don't know how you got here, but you wake up dizzy in a vast savanna, with grasses the only thing in sight. You get this gut feeling that you're not supposed to be here. You need to get home. You have a hunch that there is much evil in this land, so you know from the start that this will be the toughest battle drill a soldier could ever take.

Features:

21 monsters, appearing by experience level. (i.e. a level one character won't see any Vampires, but a level 7 will see from fairies to silver dragons.)
8 weapons (including your bare hands!)
Six terrain levels as well as infinite character levels
An energy factor which acts as a gas gauge. When you run out of energy (revitalized in the morning) you get tired and either have to run from battle and/or rest for the night.
Towns along the way with several features:
The inn:
Guarantees full healing and energy without fear of being woken up by monsters lurking about. But, as with real-life hotels, the more you need it, the more it costs.
The smith's shop:
Buys weapons for a fair and decent price, about 30% of retail value.
   ---Won't buy your hands.
Sells weapons, and you can't purchase or find some weapons until you get to a certain character level.
prgmZEP is big, but it's not HUGE. It's very in-depth, but still allows you over half the memory space for other programs (so you don't have to sacrifice valuable math programs and games.)
Only takes five of the TI-82's precious variables, all of which can be overwritten without hurting the game. The variables taken are as follows: A,B,I,R,X. Avoid saving anything permanent to these five registers, as other programs can malfunction.
Uses statistical lists L1 and L2, deleted at the end of the game (in essence, putting the tools away when it's done.) Your game is saved to L6, so avoid erasing that statistical list.
You and your foes have Hit Points (HP), Attack and Defence Skills (AP and DP), which add a twist to the game.
Silver pieces, which can be used to buy weapons, and purchase a stay at the Inn.

Features which will be in the TI-85 version:
Instead of being just Zepthor, you can type in your own name, and select your gender.
There will be four save files instead of one. (On the 82 version, if you want to start another, just move L1 to another list, and start again.)
It says your name AND the enemy's name on the combat screen. That just would have wasted memory on the Ti-82.
Slight differences in game play due to the different menu interface.

Good luck, o Zepthor, in this lost land.

If you have any suggestions, or questions, or simply want to criticize or praise my work, or simply to tell me how your game is going, I urge you to mail me. Please do so, because this is already the greatest TI-BASIC RPG out there today, and I want to make sure nobody outmatches Zepthor. But I can't do that without your help.

I'm also going to announce that this is not shareware. I want to know how many people are using my game, (by counting the emails I get) and if you do get it, or distribute it, please let me know! My goal is for a thousand people to play my masterpiece, and I hope you can comply. But I shall not charge money, that's kind of lame for a silly calculator game.
Thanks.

Happy timez!

P.S.--> Don't clone. It's lame. Try an original concept. :)
