			Shogun's Conquest for TI-82
Produced and Programmed by Jimmy Conner
			       TI-Magic Inc.

Shogun's Conquest is a strategic game made in the
mold of the game "Shingen the Ruler" for Nintendo
and the game "Romance of the 3 Kingdoms II" for the
  Super Nintendo.

This is a must for any strategic game players.

This is a fairly large program that requires roughly
22K to play. This is including the matrixes.
The matrix [E] is the save file so if you want to save
your game don't delete it. All other variables or
pictures can be deleted or overwritten.

  Instructions:

To play, run the program 'Shogun'. From there goto
'New Conquest'. You will be given a choice between
a 15 province game and a 36 province game. For starters
I suggest a 15 province game. From there you will be
prompted to pick a level. You have the choice of 1 - 9
and a random select. Level 4 is the normal level.
Choose a level. The game will then begin loading.
This will take a few seconds or so. The map will be
drawn next. You will then be asked to pick your
country, it will be 1 to the max # of provinces you
picked or a random select. Depending on what province
you pick the computer will either plot his turn or it
will come up to the home screen. In this screen is the
commands you will use to play the game.

	The commands go as follows:
SPY - Used to spy on other countries.
BUY - Used to buy rice from the merchant.
MOV - Used to move goods/men form one province
		  to another.
WAR - Used to goto war with a adjacent province.
SEL - Used to sell goods to the merchant.
HRE - Used to hire soldiers.
PSS - Used to pass a turn.
TAX - Used to levy a tax on the population.
GVE - Used to give rice to the population.

Spying is made for you to see another provinces
goods and men to see if you want to attack.
It takes a turn to spy. To select a province
to spy on goto the 'SPY' command and press
'ENTER'. Use the up and down arrow keys to
select the province in question then press 'ENTER'.

Buying is used to buy rice to support your army. You
must have as much rice as army to goto war with
another province. To buy rice goto the 'BUY'
command and press 'ENTER'. Use the directional
keys to select the amount of rice to buy. The amount
you can buy is limited by the amount of gold you have
and the price. You should buy when the price is low(1).
You must have as much rice as you do men to goto war.

Moving is used to move goods from one of your provinces
to another of your provices. Use the directional
keys to select the amount you would like to take.

Selling is used sell rice in order to gain more money.
You should sell rice when the price is high(5)
You must have as much rice as you do men to goto war.

Hiring soldiers is used to raise up an army to conquer
the opposing provinces as well as defending your
	own province from attack.

Passing is used for those rare occasions when you nothing
to do. It is a good way to gain gold, rice, and
population. Be careful not to pass to many times
because your enemies build up pretty quickly.

Taxing is used to impose a tax on the population to raise
more money. This is usually only used in desperate
times. This command will lower your population loyalty
by ten, but you gain anywhere from 1 to 10% of your
	population in gold.

Giving is used to bring up your populations loyalty to you.
For every ten rice you give you will gain one loyalty.

	Other key usages

   		'Y='  -  Used to delegate a province
	    'WINDOW' - Shows player map
	      'ZOOM' - Shows province map
'TRACE' - Does one automatic turn
	     'GRAPH' - Undelegates a province
'QUIT' - Used to Save and Quit
'CLEAR' - Takes you back one screen
'DEL' - Deletes a file in Save Menu

Delegating a province is used to let the computer play
that provinces turn for you. This is useful when
you have multiple provinces and want a quick game.
The countries are still yours but are on automatic.

Undelegating is used to play the province that you delegated.

The player map shows which player owns which province.

The province map shows the provice numbers.

Pressing 'TRACE' will allow the calculator to plot the turn
	for you.

The 'QUIT' button brings you to the save game screen. To
save a game move up or down to slots 1, 2, or 3. To
exit without saving select 'No Save'. All information
previosly in that slot will be erased. To del a slot
press 'DEL' while on that slot. You mustn't do this
	before saving.

This game is nearly six months in the making. It was fairly easy to
program but I delayed in unvailing because of other more important
  programs I needed for school.

Please do not alter or change any part or whole of this
program. You may distribute it only with my expressed permission.

Look for Shogun II for the TI-82 or for TI-83.
This one will contain pictures and be almost completely remodeled.
Hopefully it will be programmed in assembly.

Thank you for your interest in my software!!!
